Last Friday on September 18, 2015 was the annual and historial Beaux Arts Ball 2015: Threshold. It was held in an old factory (in the middle of nowhere) called Knockdown Center at Maspeth, Queens. It was very much difficult to go there if you don't have a car, but The Architectural League of New York provided shuttles that will take you to the nearest subway station.
The installations were by Moorhead & Moorhead, Alibi Studio and MODU with the "Threshold" theme in mind. Unlimited drinks and sweets were provided as well as a lot of dancing. The usual totes featuring the design above by Pentagram were given to all the guests. My firm was one of the patrons of the event so we had free admission. It was great seeing new and familiar faces in the architecture community!
