I recently attended Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta's exhibit at the Dansk Arkitektur Center in Copenhagen where they launched their book and featured some of their work and culture. There are 3 colors of the cover available and the only one that is available in the US is the one featured above. I already pre-ordered my copy which will be released to the USA at the end of September. I had Snøhetta's older book which became a collector's item recently. The only problem is that my chinchilla ate the corner of the book.
Alvar Aalto: Second Nature by Jochen Eisenbrand
I am a lover of all things Finnish and that includes Alvar Aalto. I was reprimanded by my mentors and colleagues for being fond of Aalto's works but I stood my ground. He is still one of my favorite architects. I do not have a comprehensive book of his works so I would love to add this to my collection.
Coøk by Mikkel Karstad
I look up to Mikkel when it comes to producing exceptional work as a product of his passion. Mikkel is one of the most in demand chefs in Denmark and dabbles on everything that related to the Culinary Arts. From food styling and photography to writing, I am looking forward to be inspired by the food that comes out from any kitchen that he conquers.
OASE 94: O.M.A. The First Decade by Aureli, Baird, Lueder and Meuwissen
One can never have too many OMA books. This book features the early works of Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. I'm quite excited that they decided to publish a book that features just his early works because it will give a visual foundation of his design roots.
Aldo van Eyck by Robert McCarter
I must admit that I am not too familiar with van Eych's work but I figured that this book will give me a clearer context of his Structuralism manifesto.
